Netatmo Weather App Reviews

I received the weather station just before Christmas and the setup was flawless. Unfortunately a couple of days later the base station was untraceable from the app and desktop dashboard. Only way to recover is to power cycle the base unit and within seconds it is back up and running. I have to do this every day or so for it to function with my app. Unfortunately support is non existent, I have been sending in support request through the app, dashboard and direct from their website and still havent received a single response.

Purchased product several years ago. Worked fine until Outdoor Module died 2 weeks ago. Since then, the true worth of this product was revealed. Total lack of any form of support other than automated email responses that regurgitate what is in the manual. No contact support, not even a phone number connecting you to a foreign country tech named "Bob." Tried to reboot entire system, nada; tried downloading their online app to reinstall, nada; purchased new remote module, could not connect to base station; finally, after 2 weeks of trying, solution is to write this review warning others - do not expect any help if something goes wrong. It is very apparent that once this company sells its product, it could not care less whether it works or not. This is a buyer beware, what you receive on the order, is all you will get.

This app is great. The connection is as reliable as my home internet connection, the push notifications are super helpful and customizable, and I love how you can do things such as manually calibrating the co2 sensor while away from home. The product itself is of great quality and displays accurate info so long as placement is ideal (definitely dont let the outdoor unit be exposed to direct sunlight as itll inflate the temperature by ~50*F). The only reason I did not give this app five stars is because it doesnt have Apple Watch functionality.

The latest update (2.0.5) is broken -- on an iPad Air running iOS 9.2.1, at least. The download appears to be successful (the little circle becomes whole) but the installation never completes, thus rendering the app unusable.

The temperatures are highly inaccurate. It was in the low 80s yet they listed the "Feels Like" temperature at 117. The temperatures on all units are off by about 2-2.7 degrees. Still no way to initiate an immediate reading from the app. You must rely on old data or physically access the base station to request a reading. The additional units lack in functionality. I thought they included decibel meters but they are only inaccurate thermometers and supposedly measure CO2 levels. Those are also insanely inaccurate. Their support department takes about a week to respond and doesnt actually help you with the issue. Id avoid the app unless you are only wanting inaccurate temperature readings. The other information is ridiculously inaccurate or just completely fabricated. I hate my Netatmo paperweights.

Great product! Have them in installed in two different locations allowing visibility for each on the fly.

I would like to be able to update info from module on phone to get real up to date info. A refresh button would be good

Latest version is suppose to fix the problem where the app gets stuck on updating info from the station. It is NOT FIXED. Too bad the station is useless with unreliable software. Wish I could go back to the versions that worked.

Please add a refresh or get data in the app. Its really annoying to wait for a refresh.

I can no longer connect to the station to add or remove modules.

Easy to use installing the indoor module was very easy and adding the outdoor module was also quickly completed but when I tried to add the additional module for another room I found I had moved the outdoor module too far from the indoor module and the new module for an additional room was not recognized. I will try to relocate the outdoor module closer to the indoor then try to add the new additional room unit in the room I want to monitor, I would like to have both indoor modules plug-in to household electricity for ease of using them but I have no idea how long the batteries will power the additional indoor module so I will wait to see how long the batteries work in the extra indoor unit! I will add to this review when I have used these to determine if the battery powered units work long enough to make them worthwhile or I will add another review if I am unable to add to this review.

I have had his for almost two years now. I used to love the app. Then they completely changed the app, and the daily temps are confusing (lows first, then daily high second). Navigating the app isnt user friendly. I rarely check it anymore, just because its that confusing. So I guess Ill stick with my local weather app. Which is disappointing, because we spent a lot of money buying this weather system. Maybe theyll change the app again, back to being easier to navigate.

Horrible customer support. Bought the new wind gushed and nothing but problems. First unit constantly have notifications on low battery. Replaced batteries. Same issue. Contact there lack of customer support and 3 weeks later after finally getting a return label I revived a new unit. Tried to reset weather unit, update firmware. Still issues with wind gauge. Do not buy as there is no after buying product support. I would give 0 stars if it was an option.

Ive had the Netatmo since it came out. Have the Rain Gauge and just bought the Wind Gauge. The unit has worked amazingly since Ive had it!!! I had some problems with the wind gauge. I have to say that the support team has been nothing but the best for me and thought I should mention it! They took care of the wind gauge right away and sent me a new unit. They have answered all my questions which have been many. For me they have been nothing but the best, especially Prashanth!!!
